How Datum Labware handles customer contact records, custom CAD geometry, payment processing, and laboratory use conditions.
1. Information We Collect
When you request a custom quote, download a calibration spec, or place an order on datumlabware.com, we collect the business contact, shipping, and engineering specification details you submit (name, laboratory or institution, email address, phone number, shipping destination, robot model, and tube dimensions), as well as standard aggregate HTTP request metadata used to operate and secure the site.
2. Payment Processing & Fulfillment Partners
Card and ACH payments are processed through Stripe. Datum Labware never stores raw payment card numbers or CVV codes on its servers. Physical custom racks are manufactured to Datum Labware STEP specifications through vetted US manufacturing partners (including Xometry) and shipped directly to your designated US laboratory address.
3. Confidentiality of Custom Vessel & Deck Specifications
Custom vessel drawings, proprietary assay layouts, and custom deck coordinates submitted by your team are used solely to engineer, manufacture, and support your order. We do not publish customer-specific custom CAD files into our public catalog without written permission.
4. Research & Laboratory Automation Use
Datum Labware products are laboratory automation positioning fixtures intended for research, analytical, and laboratory workflow use by trained personnel. Customers are responsible for executing the included single-tip dry alignment check prior to unattended liquid transfers and confirming chemical/thermal compatibility with their specific reagents. Datum Labware is an independent engineering supplier and is not affiliated with Opentrons Labworks, Inc.
